Meet the team: Tom Sconzo

Thomas Sconzo, Suspension Sub-Team, Machining Specialist

Tom has been a part of Virginia Tech Baja longer than any other member. “ I've seen a lot of designs that have worked as well as a lot of problems we have had.” Tom gives two main reasons that Baja is important to him, “1. The Baja team has always been like my second family here in Blacksburg.

2. The work we do shows the practical applications of everything we learn in our classes. It is exciting to see something in class and immediately know what real life example it can be related to.”

Fun fact about Tom: “Here at Tech I learned a little bit of Russian and did a study abroad in Moscow during winter session 2013.”
