Meet the team: Jess Barton

Meet Jess! Jessica Barton, Team captain, Suspension Sub-Team Jessica is the team captain of the 2016 Baja Team, “I've always wanted to know how things worked. I took apart clocks, radios, and anything with mechanical or electrical components I could get my hands on as a kid,” says Jess. The Baja team is very important to her, “It's one of the best opportunities at school to apply your coursework to a real engineering problem. Classes don't allow you to have as much creativity or get as much hands on experience as we get in the Ware Lab on campus working with the Baja team.” Fun fact about Jess: “I absolutely love to cook and bake. I joke with my family that if engineering doesn't work out, I can always go to culinary school.”
